The work of independent media is to tell the history of social struggle in the world, and here in North America-- the US, Canada and Mexico, independent media has, on occasion, been able to open spaces even within the mass media monopolies: to force them to acknowledge news of other social movements.

#TooMuchMedia
In this media-soaked world, grassroots stories can vanish under an avalanche of posts. If your videos aren’t sharp enough, people will scroll past and watch the slick clips from mainstream outlets or big-money NGOs instead.
Media exposure can fuel or fracture the resistance.
We stand with the movements on the ground—our team brings over 30 years of experience working with social movements, forging many success stories along the way.

I celebrate the emergence of Franklin López's new project. Since I first encountered the work of "Submedia," I was pleasantly surprised not only by the depth of its themes but also by the aesthetic radicalism it proposed at the time. For some of us in the Global South, it was inspiring to have references that not only aimed to make a political impact but also dared to explore visually.
I had the opportunity to collaborate briefly on the "Trouble" project, and it was there that I confirmed López's commitment to weaving networks of support and collaboration across different territories. I am confident that "Amplifier" will amplify the narratives, sounds, and aesthetics of resistance that strive to create a better world to live in.
